> AEO :
Challenge obtained their AEO "Approuved Economical Operator" status on 15/12/2008 and was awarded with the certifcate for Simplified Customs clearance / Safety-Security.

AEO is an European answer to the US CTPAT regulations
After the Twin Tower bomb attack on 11 september 2001, an increasing desire to optimise security on international cargo flows lead the EEC to establish new safety/security standards and to install the AEO at the end of 2006 for the transport profession. An AEO can be awarded for one of the 3 specific fields:

  • Customs AEO
  • Safety/Security AEO
  • Customs-Safety/Security AEO

Certification began in 2008 and is recognised all over Europe in line with ther Customs Community Code

How?
An AEO is awarded by Customs and Excise after a complete investigation on the company in question

Why?
The big advantage of this is that thanks to a personalized follow up from a customs point of view, controls can be cut down and administrative ease obtained. In return we engage every external and internal means of insuring safety and security.
