Customs clearance is complex and a perfect knowledge of the customs HM code (800 pages long) is necessary to apply the correct rate of duties and taxes to each and every product imported. A very subtle difference between one products and another can result in large consequences when it comes to paying import duties.
Take the example of a simple book which is not subject to duties, however, if the book is imported together with a toy then a completely different HM code is applicable. Every new product imported will be attributed with the corresponding HM code in order to apply the correct duties and taxes. It is our role to defend our customers interests and to declare your products in a fair manner paying the relevant duties and taxes on your behalf.
